matters, both for our large and small business clients.

restrictions) as well as employment contracts and services
contracts to ensure our clients' success and protection.
In
disputes over business transactions our firm has had
extensive experience in acting for Plaintiffs and Defendants
in all jurisdictions.
Our
firm also prides itself with their humane approach to
dispute resolution in order to expedite a great result,
and the most cost-effective approach to every problem.
We step into our client's shoes and unlike other
';trigger happy' law firms, our client's
best interest is paramount, not our pockets!
CRIMINAL LAW
Our commitment to cost-effective service ensures that
the principal, Theo Zervas, appears for most matters,
without the need to appoint counsel. Our team has vast
experience especially in relation to driving, drug,
theft and assault offences.
FAMILY LAW & DE FACTO RELATIONSHIPS
We understand that family law is an emotional area,
and sometimes brings out the worst in people. Our team
has particular experience in property settlements (including
spousal maintenance and super splitting), children's
issues, divorce applications and binding financial agreements
including pre- & post-nuptial agreements, as well
as de facto matters and cohabitation agreements. We
understand that some matters require delicate negotiation,
whereas others are dealt with in a more aggressive approach.
It
is interesting to note that only 5% of all family law
matters are decided by a Judge, leaving the large majority
of cases to be resolved by agreement between the parties.
Your lawyer therefore forms an important part of the
process leading to an agreement by informing their clients
of their entitlements and negotiating on that client's
behalf - and that is our forte! Our philosophy
follows this trend, as we believe it is more empowering
and often more livable for our respective clients to
make their own life-changing decisions - if the
parties decide the outcome they are more likely to stick
to it!
We
presently act for many people intending to marry or
commence cohabitation with another person, and require
pre-nuptial agreements or cohabitation agreements. Australian
law currently permits couples who intend to marry to
enter into binding financial agreements, which, if executed
correctly, set out the distribution of property should
the couple separate and preventing the Court having
jurisdiction. Similarly, de facto or same sex couples
are able to protect their interests through cohabitation
agreements.
PREPARATION OF A VALID WILL
There is no legal obligation to make a Will. However,
if you die intestate, that is, without leaving a validly
executed Will, your assets are distributed in accordance
with a rigid legal formula and your family and loved
ones may not receive the protection you would have wished.
This is especially important if you have children under
the age of 18 years, in order that you may nominate
guardians and make arrangements for their maintenance,
education and their future.
Our
team can prepare a tailored Will depending on individual
needs for a fixed price of $85 (inc GST). Our highly
competitive and fixed price ensures that all members
of our community can afford to exercise their right
to direct their final wishes.
We
recommend that you review your Will every two years,
or when significant financial or family changes occur.
Some life events such as marriage and divorce automatically
invalidate certain aspects of your Will, and so it is
imperative that you keep your Will updated.
As
well as our pricing incentive, we also offer a highly
efficient online instruction service. Simply click on
